New Member Project

Each year, incoming Junior League members complete a training course designed to prepare them for active community involvement, build awareness of local needs, and foster a commitment to volunteerism. During this period, provisional members are introduced to key League placements, fundraising efforts, and outreach activities.
As part of their training, each class plans and implements a community service project of their choice. This experience helps develop leadership skills while deepening understanding of the social, educational, and civic needs of our community. Upon completion, provisional members transition into active membership with the Junior League of Panama City.
Our 2025–2026 New Member class recently completed their project by honoring the teachers and administrators at Parker Elementary. They personally thanked more than 50 faculty and staff members for their dedication and daily impact on students. This meaningful effort served as a small gesture of appreciation for the important role educators play in our community.
We extend our sincere thanks to the team at Parker Elementary and applaud our New Members for organizing such a thoughtful project.
